The two on-field umpires Sudhir Asnani and Billy Doctrove called off the match at 11 pm as persistent downpour played a spoilsport. Both, Chennai and Bangalore got a point each from the game and have nine points from eight matches. Earlier, in another match, Mumbai Indians defeated Kings Eleven Punjab by four wickets in a thrilling finish at Mohali. In reply to Punjab's score of 168 for 3 in the stipulated 20 overs, Mumbai Indians scored 171 for six with just one ball remaining. Onto Badminton, Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has reached the pre-quarter finals of the India Open Super Series Tournament, being held in New Delhi's Sirifort Sports Complex.
