The Indian Premier League fifth edition was launched in Chennai this evening with a sumptuous feast of dance and music. The opening ceremony began with Amitabh Bachchan's poetry reading session. He took oath for the Tournament as well. The nine team captains also took the MCC spirit of Cricket pledge at the opening ceremony held at the YMCA College of Physical Education ground.The IPL fifth edition itself begins at Chepauk tomorrow, featuring heroes and unheralded players. Chennai Super Kings will open their campaign against Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of the IPL- fifth edition tomorrow. While the Chennai Super Kings will be led by Mahinder Singh Dhoni, the Mumbai Indians will have Harbhajan Singh as the captain.
