The match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 8 PM.In the two round-robin matches they played against each other in this edition, Chennai won the first game by 6 wickets, with Mumbai bagging the second also with a 6-wicket victory.Chennai had finished at the top of the points table, while Mumbai ended second.The winner of today's game will book a place in the Final, while the losing team will have another chance as it will play, in the second qualifier, against the victors of the eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals which is scheduled for tomorrow. The second qualifier will be held on Friday. The Final is slated for Sunday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
