IPL 2015: Kings Eleven Punjab edge out Rajasthan Royals in super over

In a thrilling contest in the IPL last night, Kings Eleven Punjab edged out Rajasthan Royals in a super over to end their unbeaten streak in this edition. The match played at Ahmedabad went see saw before going into the super over. Batting first Rajasthan made 191 for 6 in 20 overs on back of their opening partnership between Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane. Coming down to chase 192 Punjab lost three early wickets, but Shaun Marsh and David Miller scored swift half centuries throwing them back in the game. Punjab needed 14 off the last over but could only manage 13 and score was identically tied at 191 for 6 in 20 overs and hence leading to a super over for a result.In the super over, Punjab scored 15 for one giving Rajasthan a target of 16 to be achieved in an over at cost of only a wicket or none. In reply Rajasthan lost their second wicket on third delivery at score of 6, hence lost the game.Today in the IPL, Sunrisers Hyedrabad will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at 4 PM and in the second encounter, Royal Challengers Banglore will meet Chennai Super Kings at 8 PM.
