The cash-rich India Premier League 2014 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bangladesh and India. This was stated in a release issued by the BCCI Secretary, Sanjay Patel on Wednesday . The IPL will begin in the UAE, move to Bangladesh and finally come to India for the final set of matches. The BCCI release said, the 2014 Pepsi IPL season will start on April 16 and conclude on June 1. From April 16 to April 30, at least 16 matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates. BCCI Secretary said, for the period from May 1 to May 12, the Board has approached the Home Ministry seeking permission to play IPL matches in India in cities where the polling concludes in the respective state. If it is not possible to play in India during this period, IPL matches will be held in Bangladesh. Once polling concludes in all states, the remaining league matches plus the Playoffs will be played in India from May 13. There will be no matches scheduled on the counting day of May 16.
