Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs to win maiden Indian Premier League title in the final at Kolkata last night. Electing to bat, Mumbai Indians scored 148 for nine against Chennai Super Kings .Chasing a target of 149 runs Chennai Super Kings finished on 125 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Mumbai Indians Kieron Pollard, who made 60 off just 32 balls was awarded Man-of-the-Match , Dwayne Bravo took four wickets. Mumbai Indians earned a prize purse of 10 crore rupees, while runners-up Chennai Super Kings were awarded 7.5 crore rupees in the 25 crore rupees prize money tournament.
