Inspectors from the International Olympic Committee are conducting final checks for the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. Their 3-day inspection began yesterday. Inspectors visited the main venue, the Barra Olympic Park. Inspectors are expected to report back to the IOC on several issues that have come to light, including construction delays.Host country Brazil also faces problems away from the venues. Protestors have called for the resignation of President Dilma Rousseff over a corruption scandal. Outbreaks of the mosquito-borne Zika virus have also caused concern. The Olympic Games take place in August followed by the Paralympic Games in September.
