IOC announces refugee team to compete at Rio<br/>

A team of refugees has been created to compete in this year&apos;s Rio Olympics. The group of 10 athletes will compete under the Olympic flag and are meant to represent the millions around the world who have been forced from their homes. The list of ten athletes have been selected by the International Olympic Committee among 43 candidates identified by the IOC as having the right qualities to be able to compete at the Rio Games. Five of those set to compete as refugees are from South Sudan. Rest are from Syria, Ethiopi, and Congo. The newly created refugee team marks the first time such a delegation has been created since the modern Olympics began in 1896. This year&apos;s Rio Olympic Games begin on August 5th.
