Indian Olympic Association President Suresh Kalmadi says, he will not seek re-nomination in the IOA's upcoming
elections. Hinting at retiring from sports administration, he said that he has decided to make way for a new generation of sports leaders. He said he had served Indian sports for the last four terms for16 years as President of the IOA to the best of his abilities.
Kalmadi, who was arrested and released on bail in the Commonwealth Games corruption scandal, said he would now like to focus on his constituency – Pune and his family.
