Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad has urged state governments to consider posting of post graduate students in district hospitals and community health centres for a period of six months. This will help meet the demand for specialists.<br/><br/>He was reviewing the progress in implementation of the National Rural Health Mission programmes in southern states in Chennai today. He said that centre is making substantial investments in the health sector in backward areas to ensure that people have access to quality health care.<br/><br/>Earlier, speaking to newsmen Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad said that due to the pro active steps taken by the Centre spread of swine flu had been contained.
