International pressure is mounting on Israelis and Palestinians to resume peace talks. While UN secretary General is visiting Gaza, The US middle East envoy will also be in the Israel on Sunday to press for talks.These visits come after a call of the Quartet for Middle East comprising UN, EU, USA and Russia, to freeze the Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian area and set a timetable for reaching a peace agreement in 24 months.Israeli settlement issue has become a major roadblock in resumption of dialogue as Palestinians are demanding a complete freeze on settlement construction in West Bank and East Jerusalem but Israel has rejected it despite a strong call from Middle East quartet.
