On the occasion of international literacy day, on Saturday the West Bengal government organised its main function at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata.State Governor M.K. Narayanan was the chief guest.In this speech Narayanan said that fruitful results have been achieved in the state government’s anti-illiteracy mission so far.The Governor called for spreading literacy to every nook and corner of the state.He said that NGOs, civil society and panchayats need to join the movement with greater impetus. Narayanan said that the rate of literacy has increased in the state as a result of state literacy mission.
