In Gujarat, International Kite Festival 2010 was formally inaugurated at Sabarmati River Front in Ahmedabad on Monday morning.<br/><br/>The annual event coincides with Makar sakranti festival organized by the Gujarat Government and Tourism Corporation of Gujarat to promote tourism in the State. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi said that the first decade of the 21st Century was marked for development of the state, while the second decade will take this development to the new high like flying kite.<br/><br/>AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent Yogesh Pandya reports that about 105 kite fliers from 34 foreign countries are participating in this three days event.
