An arrest warrant has been issued by Interpol against ex-leader of Libya Muammar Gaddafi, his son Saif al-Islam and intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi. A formal request was forwarded by International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo to the Lyon-based police organisation yesterday. ICC wants Interpol to issue a red notice to arrest Muammar Gaddafi for the alleged crimes against humanity of murder and persecution. Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble said the ICC want Gaddafi to be arrested and held accountable for the serious criminal charges that have been brought against Gaddafi.
