A big study of Global Internet Security shows that there has been a huge increase in the past year of frauds directed at uses of social networking sites, such as Facebook. The survey by the Computer Software giant Microsoft highlights a 12-fold rise in the so-called phishing attacks and criminals plant apparently legitimate messages designed to trick people into giving sensitive personal information.
