Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov has said,<br/>international terrorism is an evil that can only be dealt through global cooperation. <br/><br/>Delivering a talk on 'Global Affairs and new vistas of Russian-Indian Cooperation at Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi today, Mr Lavrov said, there can be no double standards on terrorism and Russia strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. <br/><br/>He said, there can also be no justification whatsoever for any acts of terrorism, whether based upon ideological, religious, political, racial, ethnic or other reasons. <br/>'<br/>Speaking on Russia-India relations, Mr Lavrov said, past seven decades have brought remarkable results and both countries have every reason to be proud of the relationship. <br/><br/>He said, independent and responsible foreign policy of India has always been a pillar of strength for peace and cooperation in the world. <br/><br/><br/>The Russian Foreign Minister said, advancing India Russia relations is an absolute priority of the foreign policy of both nations. He said, Russia welcomes India's accession to the SCO and it has boosted the profile of the organisation. Mr Lavrov said, Russia wants to partner with India in the skill India programme and it has a lot to contribute in personnel training. He said, regular dialogue between think tanks and political scientists is essential to find new ideas and solutions to the challenges faced by the world in the 21st century. He said, India is among the countries that is negotiating with the Eurasian Economic Union to build a grand Eurasian Partnership.
