An international seminar on community policing organised by the Kerala Police begins in Kochi this morning. Union Home Minister P Chidambaram will inaugurate the two day seminar, in which chiefs of police and other officials from 33 countries are participating. Directors General of Police from several states in the country are also be taking part in the seminar. Kerala has implemented the community policing scheme in 43 police stations, which will be expanded to include 100 more by the first of next month.
