<span style="color: #222222;">The first-of-its-kind 'International Purple Fest Goa – 2024' was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athvale. Chief minister of Goa Dr Pramod Sawant, ministers of Goa government and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. International Purple Fest is designed as a platform for individuals with disabilities to exhibit their capabilities and talents and to ensure social inclusion of &quot;divyangjan&quot; persons. At the heart of the Fest are 22 Purple Ambassadors, each representing one of the 21 types of disabilities listed under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, along with the significant inclusion of Spinal Cord Injury.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Athavale said that Purple fest is popularised among all people and said that more than 300 programs will be held during the fest. He said that separate ministry and secretariat for divyangjan is started by Modi government. The 5 days fest will continue till 13th January.</span><br />
