International Players Tennis League gets support of ATF & AITA<br/>

The much hyped International Players Tennis League, a brain child of Mahesh Bhupathi has got the backing of Asian Tennis Federation, ATF and the All India Tennis Association, AITA.The ATF and AITA Chief Anil Khanna told in Dubai that Mahesh Bhupathi has been working closely with the sports federations and both ATF and AITA are in full support of the IPL Cricket style tennis tournament. He added that the four participating teams and host nations UAE, India, Philippines and Singapore have also extended support to the move to bring best from the world of tennis into Asia and popularize the game.World Number One Novak Djokovic along with Caroline Wozniacki and Martina Hingis are among the top names for the UAE Royals. The Dubai-based franchise features Djokovic, Richard Gasquet, Janko Tipsarevic, Goran Ivanisevic, Caroline Wozniacki, Martina Hingis, Nenad Zimonjic and Malek Jaziri. Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza complete Indian participation in the ITPL.Big names like Serna Williams, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray among others will be representing different teams. The four participating teams are UAE Royals, Indian Aces, Singapore Slammers and Manila Mavericks. The tournament will be held between November 28 and December 13 across four cities Manila, Singapore, Mumbai and Dubai. The inaugural event features four teams of six to eight players who will compete in five single-set match to determine the winner.
