International journalists in Leh to study climate change impact

In Jammu and Kashmir, a group of international journalists comprising 37 journalists from ten countries are in Leh to three-day field trip to study the impact of climate change in Ladakh. They are representing India, US, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Thailand, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh and Denmark. It is being organized by International Federation of Environmental Journalists (IFEJ) as part of their congress on the theme of North-South Differences in Reporting Climate Change held in Delhi from 28 to 30th October. Earlier, they visited the Khardongla Pass to study the retreating of glacier at the pass. Rohit Singh Coordinator said that during the trip they are expected to study climate change adaptation including artificial glaciers in the central Ladakh.<br/>
