As part of its efforts to create awareness about issues facing the differently-abled, the government would soon organise an International Film Festival for persons with disabilities.<br/><br/>A first-of-its-kind initiative by the Centre, the three-day International Film Festival For Persons with Disabilities is being jointly organised by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) in Delhi from December 1 to 3.<br/><br/>The festival will be dedicated to promoting awareness about and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of differently-abled people.<br/><br/>The focus of the festival will be on how to change the way the community thinks about disability, sources said, adding that some of the best new releases from around the world narrating the real-life experiences of people with disabilities would be screened as part of the event.
