International centre for wheat and maize coming up

The government today informed the Lok Sabha that an International Centre for Wheat and Maize is to be set up. The proposed international institute will come up at the Borlaug Institute for South Asia in India.

In a written reply, the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Mr Harish Rawat said that India expects to benefit from the international level research in wheat and maize.
