<br/> Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Saturday said the National Security Advisor – NSA- should have very few executive responsibilities over internal security. The minister said internal security must come under political oversight. Speaking to a private news channel, Mr. Chidambaram said the NSA is essentially advisor to the prime minister and adviser to the National Security Council.
