Intermittent rainfall is still continuing in Mumbai and its adjoining sub urban areas. According to the BMC officials, Mumbai city has recorded 45 mm rainfall today till 6 pm today. The western suburb has recorded 22 mm rainfall while the eastern suburbs received 28 mm rainfall. <br/><br/>The heavy showers caused water logging in several low lying areas like VileParle, Kurla, Hindamata in Dadar and several eastern suburbs. Owing to the weekly megablock accompanied by the heavy downpour during the afternoon hours the suburban train services were running 15-20 minutes late. Despite this large number of mumbaikars preferred Sunday outing and were seen enjoying the high tides at the famous seashores in the city. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, fishermen across the state have been advised not to go out in the sea during next 24 hours as sea will be rough and strong wind would continue to hit the shores. According to the MET department intermittent rain or showers would continue occur in parts of city & suburbs in the next 48 hours. Heavy rain showers accompanied by strong gusty winds is also likely to occur in some areas.<br/><br/>Mumbai-like situation also persisted in other parts of Maharashtra with districts such as Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg and Nashik receiving heavy downpour throughout the day. <br/><br/>Air Correspondent from Raigad has informed that in an unusual incident at Raigad Fort in Mahad Taluka a trekker succumb to head injuries following a huge mountain stone hit his head while he was climbing down the fort. The deceased belongs to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. In an another incident at in a small village in the district three young boys from the same family drowned in a near by pond.
