The three member panel of central interlocutors will begin second round of discussions with the political parties across the board to address the aspirations of people of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The panel has received proposals from the national conference, PDP, ANC and people's conference on addressing the political dimension of the problem but there is no proposal from the parties who have not so far joined the dialogue process. Highly placed sources expressed optimism that those groups which are outside the mainstream politics will also join the dialogue in the days to come. Senior Hurriyat leader Maulana Abbas Ansari recently held talks with them. The three member committee, the sources said will also look into the complaints of Jammuand Ladakh and suggest suitable measures to address them. The committee led by noted journalist Dilip Padgaonkar held discussions with different stake holders in the last six months, meeting at least 500 delegations, visiting 16 districts of the state. Sources said that the panel has submitted reports to the Union Home Ministry and some of its recommendations are being implemented. Though, there is divergence of opinion among the people from different regions, sources said a consensus needs to be built for the future roadmap to address the political aspect. The panel is also in favour or opening up of more routes to facilitate integration of people in two parts of Kashmir and is strongly pleading to have stronger integration of people with the rest of the country by having more road links.
