Meanwhile, the other cyclone Burevi that came close to the coast in Ramanathapuram on December 2nd became stationary and then dissipated without reaching the shores. However, the torrential rain it caused has damaged tens of thousands of acres of paddy fields, especially in Cuddalore and Thanjavur districts.</span><br />
