Inter-Governmental Commission meet: India, Russia discuss strategic issues

Key strategic issues, including those on trade and scientific matters, are being discussed between India and Russia at the Inter-Governmental Commission meeting in New Delhi today.

The two sides are also expected to talk on Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant 3 and 4. External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin are co-chairing the meeting on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation(IRIGC-TEC).

Earlier, speaking to reporters on his arrival in the Capital, Mr. Dmitry Rogozin firmly assured New Delhi that his country will not supply arms to any country inimical to India. Mr Rogozin said, Russia does not deal with India's enemies and Moscow will not supply arms to them.
