Intense heatwave continues to disrupt normal life in UP

In UP, the intense heatwave continues to disrupt normal life. Varanasi remained the hottest place during last 24 hours where the day’s maximum temperature was recorded at 43.8 degrees celsius which is 6 degrees above normal. <br/> <br/>AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that Bundelkhand and Vindhyachal regions are experiencing worst-ever heat in the month of April. The met office has predicted no change in weather conditions which will remain mainly dry with hot wind blowing during next 48 hours. <br/> <br/>Meanwhile, at least six children have succumbed to chiken-pox in two villages of Mahrajganj district during past three days. Chiken-pox cases have been reported from a village in Gorakhpur district where about a dozen people are suffering from the disease. Medical teams from district headquarters have been rushed to contain the disease and to prevent it spreading further.<br/><br/>
