Reports say, Western intelligence agencies had alerted India about possible plans of al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba to disrupt Commonwealth Games. PTI quoting Government sources says the threat was specific for Tuesday and Wednesday this week just before the end of the games.Sources said that terrorists were being trained in Afghanistan -Pakistan border areas and wanted to target a hotel also. Commonwealth Games websites were not spared either with daily attacks starting within two hours of the opening of the event on October 3.
