<span style="color: #222222;">An insurance scheme for weavers has come into force in Telangana state from today on the National Handloom Day. About 80 thousand weavers in the state will be benefitted by the Insurance scheme. Under the new scheme, the weavers will get an insurance cover of 5 lakh rupees for accidental death. The LIC and the state government have an agreement for implementing the scheme.<br />''<br />''Several programmes are being held across the state on the occasion of the National Handloom Day. At the main programme held in Hyderabad, the state government presented Konda Lakshman Bapuji Awards to 28 weavers, who have shown extraordinary expertise in weaving of different handlooms.
