The instrument landing system has become operational at Chandigarh Airport. The system is installed by Airport Authority of India and Indian Air force jointly to overcome the difficulty of taking on and landing of domestic flights. AOC of 12 wing of Indian Air Force Air Commodore Rajeev Sachdeva and Director of Chandigarh Airport Captain H S Toor said in a joint press conference at Chandigarh that with the operation of instrument landing system now domestic flights could land and take on like Air Force flights without any hurdle. They said it was a long pending demand of people which has been fulfilled.
