INS Brahmaputra Sets the Serene Stage for Ocean Ring of Yoga Celebrations in Dubai

The Indian Navy spreads the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam by participating in the Ocean Ring of Yoga against the backdrop of INS Brahmaputra at the historic docks of Mina Rashid, Dubai. The event was also supported by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and DP World. This year, on June 21, 2023, the International Day of Yoga (IDY) witnessed a unique feature called the Ocean Ring of Yoga. As part of this initiative, the Indian Navy and Merchant ships will organize Common Yoga Protocol demonstrations at ports and vessels of friendly countries across different oceans.<br />''<br />''The celebrations at Mina Rashid carry significant historical and symbolic importance, symbolizing the enduring and evolving relationship between India and the United Arab Emirates. The event commenced with a message delivered by Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Thani bin Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who served as the Chief Guest. Sunjay Sudhir, the Ambassador of India to the UAE, echoed the sentiments expressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the profound significance of this ancient practice for the world. The demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol involved the participation of a contingent of more than 200 sailors from INS Brahmaputra.
