The Indian Newspaper Society, INS, has expressed apprehension at the government's decision of accepting the recommendations of the Matjithia Wage Boards. They maintained that it may lead to the closure of a majority of small and medium newspaper publications. In a statement, the INS President, Ashish Bagga has cautioned that even large publications will find it difficult to implement these steep wage hikes.
