Inquiry ordered into Naval plane crash at Hyderabad

A Naval aircraft participating in the inaugural ceremony of an air show in Hyderabad, crashed in a residential locality on Wednesday. Both the pilots, Commander S K Maurya and Lt.Commander Rahul Nair on board, were killed in the crash. Four civilians were injured, two of them seriously. The aircraft was taking part in an aerobatic display at Begumpet airport after the India Aviation 2010 air show was inaugurated by the Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and Chief Minister K Rosaiah. A Board of Inquiry has been ordered by the Navy to look into the causes of the mishap.
