Innovative means being used to ensure hassle-free delivery of relief: Foreign Secy

<span style="color: #222222;">Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla today said the lockdown due to COVID-19 has made the logistics of humanitarian relief operation extremely complex. He said, a mixture of innovative means are being used to ensure delivery and India has provided medical assistance to 133 countries across the globe. He was delivering a virtual address to MIT World Peace University, Pune on importance of multilaterism in times of global pandemic.<br />''<br />''Mr Shringla said, India's role as a 'Pharmacy of the world' has come into focus during this pandemic. India was able to supply, after ensuring adequate domestic stockpiles, large volumes of these drugs to countries across the world. The Foreign Secretary said, India is also making its medical and public health expertise and capacity available to the entire South Asian region. He stated that in the midst of the pandemic, India went out of its way to be a net provider of health security.</span><br />
