Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA Bharat Singh was today shot at by unidentified gunmen in south-west Delhi. Talking to AIR, Delhi police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said Bharat Singh was shot at by four to five unidentified assailants in his office at Dhichau Chowk of Sarangpur village in Najafgarh area around 8:30 in the morning.

A passerby was also injured in the incident.

Bhagat said the MLA had been admitted at Chanan Devi hospital in Janakpuri, where he is being operated upon. The police is investigating the case. However, no arrests have been made in this connection so far.
