Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said infrastructure projects are first requisite for the development of any country. Mr Modi said, good infrastructure leads to all round development and improvement in the quality of life. He was addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stone of eight-laning of Delhi Panipat Section of National Highway, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal eastern peripheral Expressway, at the outskirts of Delhi in Sonepat in Haryana. <br/><br/>The projects will cost 13, 802 crore rupees. Mr Modi said, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway will not only benefit residents of Delhi but also people who move from northern parts of the country towards other regions. Mr Modi said, the NDA government is working towards removing bottlenecks and simplifying procedures to speed up implementation of infrastructure projects. The Prime Minister said, the government has cleared stalled projects worth nearly four lakh crore rupees during last six months. He said, under the Sagarmala project every corner of the country is to be connected with coasts to boost trade through sea routes. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister also spoke about Bharatmala project to connect 123 districts with the national highways. To spur the development process, he also underlined the need for constructing about 375 bridges under Setu Bharatam project. He said efforts have been initiated to bring change in Railways by enhancing speed of trains, modernisation and expansion. <br/><br/>Talking about digital India, he said that are so many villages in the country which have no digital connectivity and in view of it the work of laying optical fibre is going on at high speed. Earlier Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Haryana Chief Minister also addressed the rally.
