A day after the Prime Minister Dr Manmohn Singh reviewed the price situation with senior cabinet colleagues and other officials, informal consultations are going on ways to tackle the rising food inflation. Dr Singh had on Tuesday convened a high level meeting in view of food inflation crossing the 18 per cent mark with the prices of vegetables , specially onions , eggs , meat registering a sharp increase. According to sources, centre is likely to come out with a strategy very soon to tame food inflations and decisions in this regard are expected to be taken at the cabinet meeting this week. Add Nat 1The Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia are now holding talks in this regard with the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
