Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia today said inflation will come down to 6 per cent by end of November.Mr Ahluwalia said this in New Delhi while talking to reporters.India's headline inflation has almost touch the 10 per cent mark at present. He, however, expressed apprehension that month-on-month inflation numbers for May, the official data for which will be released on Monday, may not show a declining trend.Mr Ahluwalia said the government is making all out efforts to contain price rise and manage supply side constraints but the effects may not be seen immediately.He said if the monsoon was good this season, the food prices would come down in three-four months.To a question on whether the government should tighten monetary policy in the wake of better than expected performance by the industry in April, he said the monetary policy did not need further tightening at present.
