Inflation to come down to 7% by March end: Planning Commission

Planning Commission says that inflation will come down to seven percent by end of next month. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi today, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia said that the prices of vegetables will also come down significantly in the coming days. He however added that high inflation is a major cause of concern. According to data released, the inflation for the month of January has come down marginally to 8.23 from previous month's 8.43 percent.Mr. Ahluwalia also said that the fiscal stimulus is being reversed. He said that Reserve Bank of India has already reversed the stimulus package which indicates that the growth objectives have been achieved.
