Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that there is need to manage inflation along with the growth rate. Speaking at programme conducted by a New Delhi based News channel, Mr Jaitley said government can not afford the inflation to go up radically so RBI is a bit conservative in managing it and little careful in lowering the interest rates. Mr Jaitley also said he wants the interest rate to be lowered lot more, but the central bank is trying to balance it with growth. Refuting the reports of differences on interest rates with the RBI, Mr Jaitley said there is nothing wrong having a conflicting opinion between the two institutions. The Finance Minister added that there are evolving opinion all over the world on the role of central bank.
