Infiltrators at LoC in J&K using GPS: Army

The infiltrators at the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir are using Global Posotioning System,GPS, for finding infiltration routes .An army spokesperson said,the recovery of GPS from the possession of 8 infiltrators killed in Keran sector of Kupwara district has established that ultras are finding it difficult to get guides to help them move.He said,the satellite based navigation system is being used by militants as a guide in mountainous terrain.In addition, eight AK rifles , a pistol, five hand grenades and Indian currency was recovered from the militants.<br/><br/>Accusing Pakistan of continuing to aide and abet the infiltrating militants, the spokesperson said terrorists, as evident from the recoveries, were heavily armed, well equipped for snow and high altitude area and had the latest communication<br/>and navigation equipment indicative of the support of intelligence and government agencies from across the Line of Control.He said five mobile phones were also recovered from the slain militants.<br/>
