In Jammu and Kashmir, Security forces foiled yet another infiltration attempt in the border district of Poonch on Monday morning. Alert troops noticed movement of group of militants loaded with weapons, trying to sneak into Indian Territory during the wee hours on Monday from forward Anand Post along Line of Control in Sonawali Gali area of Mankote sector.On seeing the infiltrators, the Army troops opened fire, which was retaliated and the exchange of fire lasted for about more than half an hour. However the militants managed to flee back to Pak occupied Kashmir. AIR correspondent reports, there is an instant rise in infiltration attempts from across the border for the past one month as militants are trying to cross over before the closure of passes due to snowfall during winters.
