In Jammu and Kashmir an infiltration bid was foiled by alert troops in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district in the wee hours today. According to PRO Defence, Jammu, , a group of 4-5 militants tried to infiltrate into Indian side across the border and resorted to indiscriminate firing. However, alert Indian troops retaliated and the exchange of fire continued for almost two hours. The militants reportedly fled to Pak Occupied Kashmir(PoK). One militant was seen lying near the site of encounter . Army has launched massive search and combing operations in the area. Details are awaited.
