Industry bodies have welcomed the Rail Budget, saying that the government has taken innovative measures to bring reforms in the Railways. A report:Confederation of Indian Industry President Designate Sumit Mazumder said, it is a well rounded budget which covers a lot of areas like safety, cleanliness and high speed trains.Appreciating the Budget the ASSOCHAM General Secretary D S Rawat expressed hope that the announcements made in the budget will be implemented soon.Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries Chairman Siddharth Birla said FDI and Public Private Partnership will help Railways in the future. He said use of modern technology will enhance the costumer services.
