<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has appealed industrialists to restrict the number of employees, working in a unit so as to ensure social distancing. In a virtual meeting with industry captains, Mr. Thackeray suggested that industries should make arrangements for short term arrangements for workers to stay near the industrial unit so as to avoid travel besides encouraging work from home, wherever possible.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The meeting was attended by state industries minister Subhash Desai and industrialists like Uday Kotak, Ajay Piramal, Harsh Goenka, Ashok Hinduja, Niran Hiranandani, Sanjeev Bajaj, Apurva Bhattacharya and Siddharth Jain among others. Assuring the Chief Minister of their complete support, the industry leaders acknowledged that saving lives is need of the hour. The leaders praised the government's efforts to vaccinate the maximum number of people adding that they will ensure that COVID appropriate behaviour is strictly followed in their premises.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the meeting, the Chief Minister acknowledged that Jindal Industries had helped the state in fulfilling its oxygen needs while Kalyani Group came forward to donate ventilators and technical training of medical staff.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Stating that vaccination has proved to be effective in minimising the impact of coronavirus, Mr. Thackeray said the state is preparing for 24×7 vaccination. This session was in a series of meetings that the Chief Minister has been holding with various stakeholders to discuss measures that are necessary to curb the surge in COVID-19 infections.</span><br />''  <br />
