<span style="color: #222222;">Advisor to LG, K.K. Sharma today directed Industries Department to ensure that the Industrial Units engaged in production of essential commodities like food items, medicines, to follow necessary safety protocols so prescribed to counter spread of COVID-19. He was reviewing safety measures being put in place by the individual industrial units for the safety of the workers in consonance with the protocol already in vogue. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Pertinently, the Industries Department is monitoring and providing the requisite logistic support to units engaged in production of essential commodities, which have resumed operations during last fortnight in consonance with the circular issued by the Union Government. In this much needed endeavour, it also needs to be ensured that each industrial worker, including other Security and Admin employees at unit sites have a mask at all times, the Advisor maintained.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He further directed the officers to ensure that owners be asked to provide masks compulsively to workers. Cloth (stitched) masks can be used, as well, which are being made also by JK Handlooms Corporation, JK KVIB and can be sourced by the industrial units, he added. He said that the Federation of Industries and other related organisations may be urged to assist  and ensure this. Photographs can be obtained from units to verify compliance, the Advisor maintained.</span><br />
