In her opening match of the Women's singles in Jakarta on Wednesday, the top Indian shuttler defeated Linda Zechiri of Bulgaria in straight games, 21-12, 21-10. In the Men's singles, India's Ajay Jayaram lost to Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark 22-24, 12-21.
