Defending Champion Saina Nehwal will lock horns with Juliane Schenk of Germany in the semi-finals of the Indonesian Open Superseries Premier Badminton tournament in Jakarta on Saturday. In the Women's Singles quarterfinals on Friday, while second seed Saina defeated Carolina Marin of Spain, 21-16, 21-19, fourth placed Schenk beat Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei, 23-21, 10-21, 21-16. Saina is the lone Indian left in the tournament. In the Men's Singles, Ajay Jayaram and RMV Gurusaidutt made an exit from the competition, after losing their quarterfinal fixtures.
