In Badminton, two-time Olympic medallist P V Sindhu lost to Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the Semi-Final of Indonesia Masters tournament 2021 in Bali today. In a 32-minute match, Akane Yamaguchi beat Sindhu 21-13, 21-9. Reigning world champion Sindhu entered the semi-final defeating Turkey's Neslihan Yigit in a 35-minute quarterfinal match.

In Men's section, former world No 1 Kidambi Srikanth will play his semi-final match later in the day. He faces reigning World Tour Finals champion Anders Antonsen of Denmark this afternoon. Srikanth beat compatriot HS Prannoy 21-7, 21-18 in the quarterfinals.
